I am skilled in assessing and treating a variety of mental illnesses, including Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, ADHD, and Substance Use Disorders. I believe in prescribing the safest and lowest doses of medication possible that will still provide the greatest benefit. Medication alone does not fix mental illness. However, it may help with the management of symptoms, and combined with psychotherapy can help to alleviate symptoms and promote an effective recovery.
I use supportive psychotherapy techniques from a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapy. Our time spent engaged in these therapies can help you to become more aware of your emotions, control your responses to external events, set and achieve goals, solve problems, and improve communication skills. It can help you live a life that is rewarding and in line with your values, and help you be the person you are meant to be.
